# Download Bowtie

### Bowtie for Mac

1. Download the `.pkg`.
2. Open the downloaded `.pkg` and follow the installation instructions. Bowtie will start automatically.
3. When prompted to configure your target, enter the URL provided by your administrator, for example `bt.example.com`. You will be redirected to log in, and you are online.

### Bowtie for Windows

1. Download the `.msi`.
2. Open the downloaded `.msi` and follow the installation instructions. Bowtie will start automatically.

### Bowtie for Linux

1. Download the `.deb` file.
2. At a command prompt, run `sudo apt install bowtie*.deb`. Bowtie will start automatically.
